Description
Louisa Moore, a middle-aged wealthy widow, led a happy, organized life in the social circles of Mobile, Alabama. A registered letter arrived one August afternoon in 2009 that shook the very foundations of her fairytale lifestyle. As in the game of fiddlesticks, Louisa’s tight fist had to let go of all her sticks, and they scattered in all directions, only to be picked up one by one until they were back in the firm grip of her hand.
While dealing with the registered letter, Louisa learned of two drug-related murders that had stumped the local FBI for three years and went about doing some investigating on her own. Reporting her findings to the local Federal Bureau of Investigation, for whom her deceased son had worked, Louisa often learned that her investigative conclusions were wrong.
It was on a trip to North Carolina that Louisa thought she had met her deceased son face to face. She returned to Mobile, determined to exhume his body. It was then that the FBI had to explain to Louisa about some cover-ups in the FBI department.
Through her love of poetry and with the help of a former K-9 dog in the neighborhood, this bold, daring socialite discovered who was behind the drug-smuggling ring. It was only with Louisa’s detective work that the FBI captured the criminals.

This is a wonderful story- sort of reminds me of Murder She Wrote with a southern twist ;) Loved Louisa's character and being from the South myself she definitely reminded me or several Southern matriarchs I know. I wanted more and hope that Mr. Davis will write a sequel so I can find out what else happened! I look forward to reading more from this author!Product details

The Accidental Detective edition by Joe Davis Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews
The book wasn't memorable.
I ordered this for my mom to read and she enjoyed it so much that I had to read it too! The Accidental Detective was a delight to read. And, Louisa Moore reminded me of my grandmother who is always getting herself into something. Thanks, Joe Davis for sharing this with us. I recommend this book for readers of all ages and look forward to reading more from this author.
I found the main character to be totaling annoying and unbelievable. While I'll read almost anything, did not enjoy and do not recommend this book.
Great reading. Funny and interesting.
